September 1. A four province, nine-city, 10-talk speaking tour by ex-university lecturer and political prisoner Terry Tremaine, wound up in front of a packed audience in his hometown of Regina tonight. The tour sponsored by the Canadian Association for Free Expression sought to rally free speech supporters to the cause of one of Richard Warman's most high profile victims. Warman's complaints cost Mr. Tremaine his job and have led to six years of litigation involving charges under Canada's discredited Sec. 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act (Internet censorship) and under Canada's "hate law." The Canadian Human Rights Commission has sought to force Mr. Tremaine to shut down his website and remove all his Mathdoktor99 posts from Stormfront or face potential life in prison. Ironically, under bail conditions imposed in the Warman-instigated "hate law charges (Sec. 319 of the Criminal Code), Mr. Tremaine is not allowed to post on, modify or remove his website or his STORMFRONT.ORG ( http://stormfront.org/ ) posts. Catch 22! The target of Canada's state censorship is located at http://nspcanada.nfshost.com ( http://nspcanada.nfshost.com/ ) On September 19, Mr. Tremaine, represented by Douglas Christie, will appear before the Federal Court of Appeal in Vancouver. The Canadian Human Rights Commission lost its bid to have Mr. Tremaine declared guilty of contempt of court for having continued to post on both STORMFRONT and on his nspcanada site for some months after the February. 2007 decision by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal to gag him with a lifetime "cease and desist" order and to saddle him with a $4,000 fine when he was penniless. In introducing Mr. Tremaine to audiences across this Dominion, Paul Fromm, CAFE Director, who accompanied him on his tour, hailed him as Canada's Ai Wei wei. The bearded Wei Wei, a renouned Chinese artist and dissident, was recently released after three months of detention and was immediately slapped with a one year loss of political rights and a gag order not allowing him to give press interviews. The Globe and Mail recently editorialized against this gag, Mr. Fromm noted. However, the Canadian state used similar bail conditions to prevent Ernst Zundel from speaking about World War II for nine years. "The Globe rightly slams a one-year loss of speech rights in China," Mr. Fromm said, "but bail conditions have gagged Mr. Tremaine since 2008. Before telling Red China to reform its wretched legal system, the Globe ought to thunder against our own legal system for throttling for a far longer time of our own dissenters." The speaking tour saw Mr. Tremaine speak in London, Hamilton, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary (twice), Victoria, Vancouver and Regina.
